“After visiting several lawyers about a pending trial none of them had any real solid arguments in favor of my case. At my wits end I decided to visit the law firm of the first flyer I received in the mail. To be honest with you I thought I was going to enter just another cookie cutter office with a local shark just wanting to collect his fee and shuffle me through the system. However, to my surprise I was introduced to Mr. Gurwitz, a lawyer whose appearance may not seem intimidating, but whose knowledge of the Constitution and my rights is. He pointed out several areas that others overlooked and fought for me until the day my case was dismissed. Without Mr. Gurwitz and his prompt responses and keen legal insight my life may be a different story today. Thank you for your professionalism and refusal to be just another cookie cutter lawyer.”

“It was a few months ago when I entered your office with a letter in my hand from Childline/DPW stating, “your name has been placed on the state wide register as a perpetrator of child abuse??????” The letter was actually telling me that my degrees in Theology and Sociology and my masters program in Community Counseling were all a waste and my career has come to an end. And a possibly to be charged with criminal charges for allegedly hitting a child was also roaming by. You saw my tears and listened, took up my case for just a fraction of the cost, and today I got my life back. My name was expunged from the Child Abuse register; I was able to get all my clearances and now am working in my field again. I want to say ***thank you a million*** to you and your partner and all your staff at your law firm. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again.”

“In 2009 I was at a crossroad. As many of us do, I found myself asking, “how did I get in this situation?” Well, you can’t change what has happened. However, you can change what will happen. I was attacked at a bar by a drunk heat seeking missile. As I was attacked something told me to defend myself. During our confrontation I struck the so called victim with my beer bottle. I cut the victim on the forehead and neck. Both cuts needed stitches and he was taken to the hospital. Although I defended myself I’m sure you can imagine the trouble I put myself in. I was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and disorderly conduct. All I could think of was, “I wonder if Jake Gerwitz can save me once again?” I was facing state prison for the second time and once again Feeny and Gerwitz saved me from going to state prison. The extra effort put in by Jake Gerwitz at my trial paid off. He had all charges dismissed down to a disorderly conduct. Once again I was saved from state prison by Feeny and Gerwitz.”
